M 0 N T E H L I L $ G o C H H 0 0 L In on effort to portray life on the Hilltop for the year 1939-40 so that it will recall to our readers their own high school days, whether past or present, we have delved into the diaries of various members of the student body, and are presenting them on the following pages. There is much to record, os school life has undergone many changes this year due to the addition of the new gym, the use of the community field and larger working quarters for the agriculture, science, and home economics departments. The introduction of physical education, with the excellent modern facilities ot hand, has been one of the most noticeable advancements. Social life has been stepped up, co-curricular activities have become more popular, and bonds between the school and community have been strengthen- ed. Montello is climbing tfie hill!
