Student COUHC11 spurs new act1V1t1es With the coming of high school, many new facets of life evolved. There were times when high school was really a challenge, like during fi- nals. And at other times, high school seemed rather smooth and enjoy- able Cespecially when you had a loved one to enjoy high school withj. But the neat thing about high school was that no matter how rough times became, there were still more good times to remember. High school is a paradox in itself. For on some days, how we wished graduation would come quicker! But now that it is here, we sometimes wish it could have come a little slower. But life goes on . So we are faced with newer and broader chal- lenges. And in order to accept these challenges, one does not have to be Superman . Friends, remember this: lf we apply the things we know to the things we foresee, then the re- sult can only be one thing-SUCCESS. l love you all in Christ Jesus. As usual, one was the Football Homecoming where Angie Limon was crowned Queen. The other was the first Basketball Homecoming. Pat Diaz, senior, was crowned Queen, while the team won 65-46. The Prom, Donkey Bas- ketball and other activities proved to be stupendous. Clubs were also successful. Annual staff was one that made it through the year grandly while Scribe wrote their hearts out touching many students. Donna and Melissa compare notes on coming activities. Yes, Manuel, camels do have humps. A.S.B. Secretaries, Jerry Chen, Secre- tary of Publicity, Missy Diaz, Secretary of Clubs, Nick Shubin, Secretary of Athletics, Donna Hamutoff, Secretary of Activities, Bentley Soo Hoo, Secre- tary of Finance. 5, i -fi 2- l Get to order! shouted Vice- President Edwin Vega as he pounded his gavel on the desk. Class representatives and cabinet members slowly started to settle down. Then as issues were raised, yelling started and confusion be- gan. Having more activities, raising more money, and uniting the school were the goals of this year's ASB. More publicity was given to all sports, clubs, and events. Thanks to our ASB, the school was usually in high spirits. Student Council 21
