He was President of the Senior Class at the University of Redlands, Where he majored in history. He also at- tended VVhittier, USC, Stanford, and UCLA colleges, majoring in education. In 1946 he started teaching at MHS. He became Vice Principal in 1952 and in 1956, Assistant Principal, He enjoys the wonderful students and faculty he has to work with at Montebello Senior High Schoolf, CINS VIVIAN LEMON Dean of Girls Missouri is Miss Lemonfs home state. She graduated cum laude from the University of Idaho, and also attend- ed Mills College, USC, and Whittier College. She ma- jored in history, and her principal activities were drama, speech contests, annual staff, and student government. She has been at Montebello for twenty-two years. Be- fore becoming Dean of Girls in 1944, she taught history. Miss Lemon admires the intense loyalty and pride which our students develop toward their schoolf, EARL ODY Dean of Boys Mr. Ody was born in Akron, Ohio. Majoring in math, he attended the University of Akron, Wfhittier College, and LA State. He served in the US Air Force for four years as a P38 pilot. He has been at Montebello for ten years. Before be- coming Dean of Boys, he taught shop physics and plane geometry, coached C and D basketball, and IV football, and was also director of student activities. Dr. Wlhinnery, before becoming superin- tendent of schools in 1949, had served as Principal of MHS and Director of Adult Education. He received his BA from UCLA, his MA from Occidental College, and his EdD from USC.
