Later she grad- uated from U.C. at Berkeley, and has also attended University of Oregon and U.S.C. For several years she was advisor to the Gol- den Key and also journalism teacher at Montebello Senior High School. MRS. PATRICIA T. HEANEY Subrtitule Mrs. Heaney graduated from high school at Marymount, West L.A. with highest honors. Saint Mary's of Notre Dame was the college she graduated from. In her college activities she was president of the Women's Ath- letic Association, President of the Junior Class and French Club. Honors were magna cum laude, and member of Kappa Gamma Pi. Her interests, aside from her teaching is being a home-maker and a mother of three children. twenty-two as ,....W.:: MRS. LEONA FARTHING School Nurse In addition to the College of Medical Evangelists Nursing School where she graduated, Mrs. Farthing attended La Sierra and U.C.L.A. For two years she taught school, and for nineteen years has served as school -nurse. She has also worked in the Emergency Hospital with the Los Angeles County Health Department.

During his college training he attended Southwest Missouri State. U. of Mo., U. C.. U.C.L.A. and U.S.C. His under- graduate activities were college glee, football and basketball. He has been teaching three years at Oilerville. MRS. LORRAINE FLITTNER Social Science A native of Los Angeles, who has taught through half of her teaching career at Montebello is Mrs. Flittner. Aside from teach- ing. she has enjoyed maintaining her home and rearing her family. She attended U.C. at Berkeley and U.C.L.A., where she grad- uated. MR. JOHN JOHNSTON Social Science Mr. Johnston, a high school graduate of Long Beach Poly, where he was president of the glee club and member of Masque and Sandal Club. later graduated from Chapman College. He also attended Whittier, U. C. L. A., U.S.C. and San Diego State. He has also taught Driver Training. His avocation is music and he is known for his hne baritone voice. JAMES W. MOORE Social Science Mr. Moore attended school in Ohio where he graduated from Oberlin College. He also attend- ed Columbia U. and U.S.C. A principal student activity in col- lege was playing bass fiddle in a dance band. In the last war he made false teeth in the Medical Dept. of the U.S. Army. twenty-one MR. CLIFFORD WAYNE POOR U. S. Hirtory Mr. Poor was valedictorian of his high school class, and he was class president during his 9th, 10th and 12th grades. He gradu- ated from Missouri State Teach- ers College, and has also at- tended U. of Kansas, and U.S.C. In college he was on the honor roll. Besides teaching, he has been a salesman and cashier. MR. STUART B. ROUGH Social Science Nehawka, Nebraska is where Mr. Rough was born. He attend- ed Weepin Water Academy rep school, ancf was graduated fiom Doane College where he was ed- itor of the college paper. He has taught 27 years at Montebello and was coach of many championship track teams.
