She was also su- pervisor in Benehciaries Accounts Section of Veterans' Administra- tion Finance office. She gradu- ated from U.S.C. cum laude. gkamawff MISS KATHERINE DALIS Secrelafial Science Miss Dalis was born in sunny California-in Los Angeles, and graduated from Washington Hi where she was a life member of CSF. She seemed to be elected as secretary to all the clubs she be- longed to in high school and college. Her most interesting em- ployment was as legal secretary. She has been teaching here for MR. WILLIAM R. CLARKSON Business Ed Mr. Clarkson wa in high school and two years. ucation s valedictorian on the Dean's Honor Roll in college. His high school activities included journal- ism, band, drama, baseball and music. He was F.B.L.A. president in college. He has also been in the Army and had many various business experiences. He attend- ed U. of Kansas for his B.S. and U.C. at Berkeley for his M.A. MR. LESTER K. GATES Burinerr Education Mr. Gates was graduated from Whittier Union High School and received his A.B. degree from Whittier College. At U.S.C. he received his M.A. degree and did graduate work at Stanford and U.C.L.A. In high school he was a member of CSF. AUSTIN KEISER Business Education While in the army, Mr. Kei- ser spent four years in India where he had many adventures. He graduated from Temple Col- lege in Philadelphia, and has also attended New Jersey State. In college he sang in the glee club. He has been teaching for 13 years, and once taught in the southern-most U.S. high school, at Key West, Florida. MRS. JEAN ELOISE LUCAS Burinerr Education Most of her life has been spent in California. She was graduated from U.C.L.A., in which she was a member of Phi Chi Theta. She was also member of the Business honorary. This is her first year at Oilerville. MRS. ROSE E. STEELE Bu.fif1e.rJ Education Mrs. Steele received her mas- ter's degree at Northwestern Uni- versity and her B.A. at Carleton College, Minn. In college she was maid of honor, may queen, and Phi Beta Kappa. At camps in Yellowstone Park she was a hostess for three summers. She taught music at MSHS for many years.
