Led by only 14 seniors, the 1973 varsity played exciting and competitive foot- ball. Offensively the Monarchs finished the season ranked 7th in the CIF. Special recognition was also earned by juniors Mitch Bonilla, who was the num- ber one receiver in the C.l.F. and Steve Perdue, who was the league's best passer and the 4th best passer in the C .I.F.
