THYLEAQ QRQHAKHHHEEHAK Dear Susan, Congratulations to you and to the Class of 1970! Twelve years may seem to have beenalong, long time, but look to the future and you will find you are only getting started in a long life ahead of you which, when ended, will only be an infinitesimal spot in the space of time - eternity. To achieve ultimate and eternal happiness is no easy thing in these modern times. Changes are being attempted on every horizon that one looks toward: in technology, politics, economics, social and religion. This is notheing new. Changes in these areas have been taking place since man first used the flint- stone for the security of fire and a weapon. However, changes today are probably more difficult to cope with than ever be- fore. More is being offered and in the confusion it is with quite some ease that undesirable changes can creep in - sometimes convenient excuses tear down the morals, ethics and laws that are brought about by advanced civilizations. To free ourselves from these, to do only our own thing can only cause a reversion to the primitive, or worse annihilation of the society as has happened before. True, changes do need to be made in all areas to remain congruent to the times. Good changes are tediously slow to come for they must be made not or today but serve mankind for many years in the future. The fruits of these keep our world a bright place. lt is for all of this and more that you must learn to live with, to be discerning, knowledgeable and wise, to separate the good from the evilg to do your thing as best you know how to make your world in the future, and ours, a world of advancement and peace. Go on strong, for we're behind you. With love, Wim AQML 1 Wm? 9550-flfefao ug 20 aah? WU M555 H Hi W1 4653- 35.433 in ff f,'5-if Extra? The club began the year early by opening a Lost and Found for the benefit of the students. Tutoring and helping in college counseling have also been undertaken by the NHS. In February lVlonte Cassino was televised on the weekly High School Bowl program. National Honor Society members participated in the competition. On IVlay 25th I walked down your gym aisle, again with tears in my eyes. This time because I am leaving. In the years that I have lived and grown at Monte Cassino, I have gathered many new friends. Some of these friends will last me a life time. I loved my class. It is the class of 70. I am leaving it with 44 important girls. In this yearbook I have tried to show my love for this school. lt is an excellent school. The class of 70' is a wonderful class. We accomplished a lot together. We were loyal to each other. lVIay the underclassmen look up to us and see our spirit is a wish of many. The main factor of our class and of this book is the friendship we share for each other. ln this book we have shown the friend- ships of many. This book travels the year that we have spent together. It should be a cherished memory for everyone who lived it. 77?a5y JMJZMJMGAMLZ jdmtlwwmfwiwfwwl ' pififfafmim 'X .
