Valerie, who hails from Sacramento, Califor- nia, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Brown. She came to Monte Cassino in her freshman year and, with the exception of half a year, has been here throughout high school, Valerie was enthusiastic about journalism and served as copy editor on the Ariel staff. She showed great interest in sports and took part in all the games, Full of a love for a good argu- ment, Valerie pressed her ideas animately. She could often be found in the middle of a prank or commotion. Her laughing eyes and excitable nature characterized her every action.
