Besides holding one of the highest scholastic ave- rages in the class, she was active in all the school's functions. To create and organize ideas is just a part of her versatile personal ity Her blonde hair and vivac nous blue eyes will be missed as Mary leaves eleven years of Monte Cassmo work behind her KNOWN FUR Har walk and talk l x PATRICIA FLUSCHE Pat Flusche, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Flusche, Muskogee, has been at Monte Cassino three years. Pat may be classed as the silent type but when she does decide to talk her wit is quite entertaining. Still water runs, deep describes this pretty blonde, blue-eyed senior. Pat is a good tennis and bas- ketball player. She will be re- membered most for that slow methodic technique for arriving late for class. KNOWN FOR: Slow easy manner. MARY ELLEN FOX Mary Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Fox, came to Monte Cassino in her senior year from St. Mary's of the Woods, Ind. This quiet, dark-eyed sen- ior served as secretary of the class and feature editor of the school paper. Her scholastic ability, her conscientiousness, and her friendly manner made Mary Ellen an inspiration to all who knew her. We wish Mary Ellen all the luck and happiness she deserves, and that is a heaped-up measure. KNOWN FOR: Her eyes. I WA., ii I MARGARET ROURKE Margaret, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Rourke, has at- tended Monte Cassino for ll years. During her stay, Margaret has won many friends with her sincere and charming manners. She will be most remembered for her kind interest in her fellow students and for her malice to- ward none. Her warm smile and friendly personality will long be remembered at M. C. We are sure that Margaret will take her place in the world as a perfect example of Christian woman- hood. KNOWN FOR Say it again-I didn't get it SUE GRAHAM This vivacious and scintillat- ing senior Sue, who is the daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Graham, has been a student at Monte Cassino for the past two years and has always managed to keep things exciting. Sue is known and loved for her out- spoken frankness softened by friendliness, her shining eyes and lively disposition. l-ler interests are varied and her talents are many, ranging from art to creat- ive writing. KNOWN FOR: Her Driving. HELEN WATTS Helen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Watts of Rock- dale, Miss. High Christian prin- ciples, a warm southern heart, and a calm easy manner have en- deared l-lelen to all who know her. She excels in mathem8fiCS and basketball and has distin- guished herself by her athletic abilities. She has attended Monte Cassino for three years. KNOWN FOR Southern Sleep. SALLY VAN ANTWERP Sally Van Antwerp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Van Ant- werp, Tulsa, has attended Monte Cassino since the fifth grade. She has entertained both stu- dents and parents with her beau- tiful voice. She is a friend to animals and has a great number of them. Her hobby is collecting post cards and stamps. Her am- bition is to be an opera singer. KNOWN FOR her humanitar- ranrsm ROYCE ERICKSON Royce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Erickson, has been at M. C. for two years. She has endeared herself to many by her friendly but serious manner and her spirit of cooperation. She is a constant source of entertain- ment with her perpetual ques- tion-asking. Since childhood her ambition has been to be a nurse and she embarks on her training with our warmest wishes and fondest memories. KNOWN FOR Her perpetual Interrogation MARTHA SUMON KA Martha Sumonka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Sumon- ka, transferred to Monte Cassino from Marquette in her freshman year. Her scholastic achieve- ments throughout this time are too numerous to mention and are also hard to equal. She has won many friends by her friendly, cheerful personality while her ability to lead and or- ganize together with her keen in- terest in everything she under- takes classes her as a dependable person. Martha is a diligent and zeal- ous Y.C.S. worker. This year she holds the office of state secre- tary for the Y.C.S. When Martha takes her place in the world she will surely be a competent Christian woman.
