CE DAWN BREAKS and the grey light of the coming day embraces the tower of a house of wisdom. Framing the spire in the early hours, the lonely tree sentries wait to be relieved by the rising sun. Day breaks and the silence of the quiet dawn is broken by man and the sounds of his relentless quest to know. As the splendid morning sun climbs above the morning clouds, he resumes his daily chase for Truth. He seeks in the noise of a crowded lunchroomg when alone, in the depths of his own soul. He seeks in the wide streets of a busy town, in the spar- kling eyes ofa freckle-faced boy swinging in a carefree apple tree, and in the happy classrooms of his somber college. Day is the quest, and filled with the mystery of being and self. Dusk falls and the halls empty and become silent as they wait for the embrace of night. The quest ends for a time so that soft dusk and benevolent night can refresh manls weary body and tired soul. But his restless spirit keeps on and follows the path of the sun across the sky of the unknown, leaving be- hind the silhouette of a wooden tree-sentinel and the lights of a living city wrought by the will of God and the patient hand of man.
