SOCIAL STUDIES The Social Studies Department strives to give its individuals a broad knowledge of the world in which they live, is a philos- ophy expressed by Dr. Moffat, head of the department. This aim, spiced with such deli- cacies as Dr. Folsom ' s significance and Dr. Fincher ' s knowledge of the presidency, has won for the department a cherished place in the memories of its students. PHYSICAL EDUCATION The Physical Education Department finds that discipline of the body is beneficial also to the mind. The department is dedicated to the ideals of good sense, sportsmanship, and health through a balanced program of ac- tivity- Every physical education student knows how much of himself he must con- tribute to the fulfillment of these ideals, in his own life, and in the lives of those he will direct.
