wfagw lt has been three years sunce our shnp was furst launched Durung that tsme at has come through many dufferent voyages wnthout a shup wreck and us now about to put unto port for the last tume Some of the pas sengers are only transfernng to other shlps where they wnll saul further For others llfe on the land as now the more attractlve However everyone has a certaln feelung of loyalty for the shlp he IS leaving behlnd He reallzes that the captaln and crew have done thenr best and have always succeeded ln keepsng the shlp afloat through all rough weather Navlgatlon has some tlmes been dlffncult but those ln charge have carefully steered the course straight and true In the shvps log the records have been fauthfully kept There one can see the many below deck actlvltues whuch have enlnvened the trap the celebrltles who have spent thenr tame aboard shnp preparlng for bugger and better thmgs and even the landlubbers who have often brought fame and honor to their ship but who have never gone overboard nn victory or defeat Our shup has not been a shlp of war Passengers and crew alnke have settled thenr disagreements peacefully wlth no threat of mutlny Now we hope we can carry thls Idea unto a world where war has brought death to many people We hope that without any feelung of superuorlty to those who have served on other shlps we wull do our share un the search for peace As we flnally approach the shore and prepare to drop anchor we thunk agaun of the many friends we have made and thnngs we have done We fund that our passports are IH order out before we go we fare a last salute to those we leave behlnd us 5 . . .
