It is a comedy that takes place in a no longer fashionable hotel in New York that is being remodeled, when a pair of female recluses are discovered in one of the back suites. They have been there ever since that black night in November, 1932, when Herbert Hoover lost the election. Deliberately cutting themselves off from the outside world, they vowed to remain secluded until a Republican was elected into the White House. 72

INTERNATIONAL CLUB The International Club was organized during the second semester of the 1956-1957 school year to promote international understanding among the stu- dents of this school. Students from many of the countries of North and South America, as well as South Africa, Arabia, India, Iran, Pakistan, and Sweden, are members of the club. In addition to its regular meetings, the club holds several meetings which are open to the public. These provide cm opportunity for the public to become acquainted with the members, and to become more familiar with the cultures of the various countries represented.
