Un iversity Center '68 The new Student University Center will occupy a site northeast of Main Hall at the base of Mt. Sentinel. Upon its completion in fall, 1968, it will have 184,450 square feet of floor space. The total cost of the University Center, which will occupy 5.5 acres of state land for the structure, parking lot and service area, will be more than four and a third million dollars. No state funds will be expended on its construction, 'maintenance or operation. Student fees and proceeds from the Center's operation will produce income sufficient to meet cost of interest, etc. The center was conceived with the belief that a student's leisure should com- plement his education. It will provide optimum circumstances for co-curricular activities, social acumen and constructive recreation.
