Turner Hall means home to the main body of upperclass non- affiliated MSU women. These girls maintain a busy social life by many organized teas, firesides, and functions such as the fall Barn Dance and winter formal. The independents of Turner hold their share of campus offices and usually score high in vvomen's intramural sports At least once a year the Turner Hall gals find time to steal Bertha, the Foresters' traditional sweet- heart,-usually lust before the annual Foresters' Ball. Synadelphic provides an economical place for girls to live and also develops coop- eration between the girls liv- ing and working together. The girls maintain a grade average usually above all other living groups. They sponsor functions each quarter and participate in university activities. This women's co-op began in T942 in connection with the School of Religion. In T947 it became a regular living group. Mrs. Galt has been house- mother since 1950.
