As the governing body of the University of Montana, the Board of Education formulates policy for the entire system and must approve any changes which a member of the system wishes to institute. The concurrence of the Board is necessary in all matters pertaining to rules, regulations, requirements, fees and courses offered. This year the Board approved Montana State’s request to grant the Bachelor of Arts degree in history and English. This ruling becomes effective next year.
