AWS Acting as a voice in all campus affairs, the As- sociated Women Students provides more exten- sive opportunities for MSC co-eds. In further- ance of this goal, they sponsor a Big-Little Sister program to orient freshmen women. Scholastic awards, honors, and the five-year speaker are announced at their traditional Women's Day. Will this meeting please come to order! With this, the Student Senate begins another session. Its membership is comprised of voting and ex- ofHcio members, who hold office for one full year, terminating with installation at the third regular meeting in May. Voting members are the vice-president, commissioners, class presi- dents, and greek and independent representa- tives, while the ex-officio senators represent publications, and organizations which receive funds from ASMSC. While in session, the Senate examines many widely varying topics ranging from the most serious discussions on budgets down to the more humorous aspects of campus life, including Speed E. Gator, the MSC alligator who captured Hrst place in the National Al- ligator Race and brought fame to MSC. Speed E. Gator's trophy

MRA Dorm life is made more pleasurable through the actions of the Men's Resident Association: This group handles dis- ciplinary problems through their judiciary system, counsels the large number of freshmen and sophomore men Who are housed in the dorms, and acts as a governing body. Composed of Hoor presidents, elected by their respective floors, MRA was instrumental in instituting co-educational eating between the menis and Women's dorms. The success of this program was one step toward the achievement of their goal to provide better inter-dorin relationships. ll?
