There is an aspect of education which does not appear in text books, but rather which manifests itself in human relationships. It is found Wherever people meet, be they old friends, or strangers meeting each other for the first time. To this particular division of education the many and varied events of Montana State College are dedi- cated. Sports events, homecoming, re- ligious emphasis Week, fraternity rush Week, all of these events give MSC,s stu- dents a chance to Work with others, an op- portunity to learn the working of society. Truely, this branch of education can never be replaced by text books. The thing that an undergraduate student looks foiwvard to most is becoming an alum- nus. The inverse of this is also true. An Alum dreams of good times gone by. Put these two feelings in the pot, stir like the devil. and you have a homecoming. Pa- rades. queens. the big game, old friend- ships renexved and new acquaintences made. all of these make up the biggest event on either side of the graduation fence - homecoming. Five long days and then it,s here, the Week- end. To those who are blessed with Satur- day classes, it starts with the skipping of an S olclock chem quiz, others jump the gun by putting down the books Friday noon. Picnics, going home, or just lazing around, they all make Saturday the best day of the Week. The Saturday night dance, sleeping in on Sunday morning, the Sun- day night show, and all of the sudden itis Monday morning again. Inst think, only five more days.
