We gain knowledge . . . The basic incentive for learning is awakened when a child becomes curious and asks his first questions. Throughout childhood and youth this questioning continues, as does the corresponding increase in learning. To progress in his quest for knowledge, the student must often seek things out in a concentrated manner, he must delve deeper into fields which catch his interest, and conquer that which challenges him. Around this theory of natural inquisitiveness, the Greeks built their efficient education system - and thus, their whole advanced civilization. And so today, around this innate desire for knowledge is built the educational systems of modern nations' Through questions, through the seeking of satisfactory answers to them, and through the ultimate finding of these answers - we gain knowledge.
