GI EERI G DIVISIC Dean E. W. Schilling Dr. E. VV. Schilling has the responsibility of being the dean to the largest department at MSC. Dean Schil- ling received his B.S. degree at the University of Illinois and his M.S. and Ph.D. at Iowa State College. Besides being the Dean of Engineering, Dean Schil- ling is also the Director of the Engineering Experiment Station and a Professor of Electrical Engineering. The Division of Engineering at MSC trains students to take their place in the technological world, and to find enjoyment in the industry which is becoming more and more scientific and exacting. During an Engineering student's four years at MSC he spends many hours a day in the beautiful Roberts Hall which houses most of the Engineering classes. Dean Schilling has done much to promote a feeling of cooperation and closeness between his students and faculty. He keeps the division running smoothly and he enjoys taking a personal interest in all of the students and in helping them over an obstacle or a problem if they need it. Row 1, L. to R.: Robert L. EDUCATIO l l Dean James F. Nickerson DIVISIO This division just three years old this year is, with- out a doubt, the fastest growing department on campus. In fact, this division has been growing so rapidly that several new faculty members have to be added each year in order to accommodate the already overcrowded education classrooms. To Dr. james F. Nickerson, Dean of the Division of Education, falls the great responsibility of helping to supply America with the most desperately needed people in the nation, the future teachers. As well as being Dean of Education, Dean Nickerson is also a Psychology Professor. He also has the position of Director of the Summer Quarter, as well as many other important responsibilities.
