Because of this group's action, students danced to the music of Billy May fall quarter and heard Stan Kenton winter quarter. This group worked with the Faculty Building Program and helped with the recent poll to increase the Building Fund. Jim and the Senate were the instigators of the Student Activity cards. This qroup spends our student activity fee wisely for forensics ... athletics . . . Student Union . . . student publications . . . and all student participation programs. Freshmen feel the Senate's authority when they are put throuqh their paces Freshman Week. In spring and fall the Associated Students show their zip in planning and executing the campus cleanup days. When summing up the effect of this group's activities ... it seems they have a hand in planning every day of our four years at M.S.C. 25

Atten - - - - tion! Forward march . . . these tew words lack the all important voice inflection and are only a part of the well balanced program those enrolled in Military Science receive. Uniforms . . . and Friday afternoons at 1:00 ... the Regular Army and Air Force men perform. Future nurses receive preliminary training at M.S.C. and head lor Butte, Billings, or Great Fails to receive further training and Caps. The P.E. majors take a lot of ribbing about tank suits . . . and muscles . . . but after four years schooling they are well qualified to enter physical education departments as teachers and coaches. STUDENT FACULTY RELATIONS COMMITTEE !f M.S.C. citizens claim any inconveniences or maladies this committee is willing to listen. Their duty is to consider the problems and suggestions presented to them by various groups and individuals. All the books and various sundry things students need to get an education mey be purchased here. This group recently voted to turn over any profits from the Book Store to the newly organized Student Senate Finance Advisory Board for decisions concerning disposal of the funds. BOARD OF PUBLICATIONS This Board is charged with keeping student publications in line with best interests of M.S.C. in mind. They approve editors for the four student journalistic endeavors, the Exponent. Montanan Farmer, and Engineer. Jean Painter keeps the minutes and Keith Kimball represents this Board with a voting seat on the Student Senate. 26
