Welcome hack, Pietident (le+me! Mr. Renne is with us again this year after spending two years in the Philippines as Chief of the Mutual Security Agency Mission. The campus that witnessed his inauguration in 1944 is continuing to grow and expand. Because of the larger enrollment, more and modern class facilities were necessary. The math-physics building and animal industry addition to the agriculture building were ready for classes winter quarter. If construction is completed by September 1954. the boys will say a FOND FAREWELL TO HUDSON HOUSE and be the first occupants of a new men's dorm. Committees are now looking over plans for a now women's dorm in the near future. With construction there is some destruction and the old service shops and old math building are no longer a part of M.S.C.'s landscape. 700 freshmen compose the class of 1957 which proved to be the largest in the history of the college. The many now buildings and larger enrollment indicate the continuous growth of this state institution. Dr. Renne works to consolidate the large gains the college has made, thus improving it further. !t is rewarding to know that our President has been of service to the nation, the Philippines, and again to M.S.C.
