A FAR CRY FROM THE LITTLE RED SCHOOL HOUSE Eastern's elementary school, using all modern facilities and methods in teaching of children, is a real asset to our school community. The Elementary school offers opportunities to the education students of Eastern to observe and practice their newly learned teaching skill at first hand. While the work of the school is systematic, the atmosphere is natural and informal, the children arc given the opportunity to develop a freedom through self-discipline and the acceptance of responsibility. The individual child is taught how to cope with the problems that come before him as well as his basic skills of the three r's and other academic work. virs. Irene D.
