MEMBERS OF THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION give much lime and energy to work of the units of the University. Work of such groups has made possible the tremendous growth and vitality of college education in this country. Shown above from left to right: Mrs. F. H. Pelro. Miles City; Clarence Popham. EASTERN'S LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD is a group appointed by the Governor to co-ordinate Eastern's program of education and the community of which it is a part. Its members are to appraise the physical plant, campus grounds, educational facilities and student living conditions. They perform an advisory and consultative service in their relationship to the President and to the Stale Board. Through this means there is a good relationship between college and community. As Eastern concentrates more on the live, vital problems of the community, the community will also be of greater service to the college. Members of the Board shown below from left to right: George E.
