As this annual was dedicated to two instructors who devoted so much time toward student instruction and student participation in campus activities, so should the theme be representative of the many students in the teacher training program who have found, and will find, teaching positions as a result of their preparation at Eastern. Therefore, our theme is built around the young adult teacher, upon which is based the foundation of the training program at Eastern. He is interested in not only the attainment of a degree, but in the active participation of club work, sports, music, and all those programs that are so important to his teaching career. Dr. Ricard L. Henderson, former Dean of Education, will 1 cr.-Z be remembered by EMCOE students. H:s ever-present smile and friendly manner was a constant source of encouragement to all students. It is more than fitting that an annual with an educational iheme be dedicated to one who has made so vast a contribution to the profession. Dr. Richard L. Henderson Edward White, former Student Activities Director, and personal friend of each student will remain, in the minds .of those students with whom he worked, as one who was devoted toward the betterment of Eastern and to the interest of furnishing, for the student, a program of orientation, entertainment, and a feeling of school spirit that can hardly said to be excelled. He, with very little student cooperation, compiled the 1954 annual. He strived constantly to publish an EMCOE that would meet the approval of the entire student body. Thus, it is only proper that this co-dedication include the name of “Ed” White, and that he be remembered for years to come for his devotion to Eastern, and to the student body. Edward White
