Allred Succeeds Foreman In AS Government Shift Dale Foreman, President of the Associated Students for fall and winter quarters, resigned the position upon acceptance of a teaching position at State Industrial School in Miles City. The resignation was effective at the end of winter quarter. Stan Allred, an education major and Junior class member who served as AS Vice-President, assumed the duties vacated by Foreman at the legislature meeting March 25. Allred of Madder-son. Wyo is married, and was a member of the 1955 Yellowjacket basketball squad Gary Rogers of Terry was elected by the legislature to fill the Vice- presidency. Rogers was formerly the Junior class representative on the student governing board. Legislature OKeys Sound System For Student Union Use Al the regular meeting 0f the student legislature on Friday. April I. authorization was given for the purchase of a $1,069 public address sound system for the student union building. The student governing board voted unanimously to extend the money for the system from Funds available in the Associated Students sinking fund, The sinking fund from which funds were drawn was created by the previous-year’s legislature under a new plan for apportioning the student activity fee Other items purchased through this fund have been a $465 time clock for the use of the athletic department and a grant of $935 to the student union board for the completion of needed facilities in the new building
