ftvrewnrd HTO every thing there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. This beautiful passage, a profound and moving quotation from the historical and symbolical pages of the Bible, is the theme of this year's Montaneer. We, the editors, hope that it will impart to each student a warm, nostalgic memory of his Pleasant years and also serve as an inspiration based upon happy undergraduate days profitably spent. The time has again arrived when the seniors must leave the protective custody of Mont Pleas- ant, venerated in song and story by legions of alumni who have gone before. As departing seniors, we venture out alone into a vast world--a complex society replete with ethnic unrest, war, bigotry, love, compassion-a veritable kaleidoscope of self contradictions. For some, this transformation will be comparatively easyg for others, it is a dangerous trek into the unknown. One fact, however, is certain. They will not flounder. For they will be armed with a reassuring knowledge acquired during their seemingly short three-year stay. In the fullness of time, this same pathway will lie ahead for the present juniors-to-be and the freshmen who will enter next September. And when their graduation day finally arrives, that same pathway will once again be trod by a host well prepared for the future by virtue of their exposure to the social and academic disciplines of a respected Alma Mater.
