As Juniors our important date was the day our class rings ar rived We certainly were proud of them Chemistry class caused a few raised eyebrows, es eclally on the part of Mr Moriarty One lovely spring day Ken elntz and Bob Chalue were heating a test tube when the cork blew off and went sailing through the window Those boys certainly had good aim Dottie McCarron had a habit of breaking something, which started off the first day of lab when she broke a cylinder Our Junior Prom was very well organized We only wish we could put one on every year Oh for the good old days when we could get out of every period to decorate the gym The more the merrler and it was 'The Sisters MacIntosh' with its tiny cast of Robert Chalue, Pat Manganlello, and Mary Braskie won the One act Play Contest for us Mary and Pat made delightful old ladies While in our Junior year we also held our first scrapdrlve, and added to our meager funds for the Washington Trip At last we entered the senior class and it was truly a year of work and fun We held sorapdrlves, food sales, a Booster Night and sold candy After we gave the freshmen a rough time at initia tion, they became good friends of ours Our senior pictures came in time for Christmas and turned out very well We spent a busy Take It with You ' Mary Sullo looked very comfortable on the sofa during her nap Mary Braskie very bravely picked up one of the cats when it started to run away, even though she does not particu larly care for the furry little animals Three of our boys entered the armed services George Cody, Henry Gauthier and Roger Pascale We wish them the best of luck I dcn't think any senior class ever held as many class meetings as we did If president Bob Chalue d1dn't appear in front of the class during any spare moment, the class immediately voted for a meeting We must say he controlled the class extremely well Robert Foley was kept busy collecting back dues, his pockets al ways Jingled Mr Lewis did not approve of our forgetfulness with reference to bringing excuses for absences Our One act Play was 'Mooncalf Mugford ' The highlight in our twelve year school career was, of course, the Washington Trip Mr Grieve and Miss Malonis had their hands full making us behave It was worth all of our hard work, because it was an educational and entertaining trip We only wish we could go again together The final weeks we spent in school were busy and exciting But the day finally came when we sat on the stage to receive our cherished diplomas We must admit it was a hard struggle at times, but it was well worth it Although there were many sad faces at graduation, we were not completely sad, for this was not the end of our youth, but the beginning of our adulthood The class of 1951 will re member its wonderful school life forever day signing and exchanging them. Our Three-act Play was 'You Can'
