THE VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM The Varslty Fbotball Team came through w1th an excellent record durlng the 19149 season, w:LnnJ.ng three, tylng two and dropping but one contest Coaches btrout and Reed used a strong a1r attack and a good forward l1ne to generate their power If 1n3ur1es had not riddled th1s aggregatlon, they mlght have come through as an undefeated eleven Vlctorles were recorded over W11l1ston, Fbrt Trumbull and Gushlng, whlle the lone defeat came ln the last game against Suffleld Dedlcatlon of the new athletlc f1eld was followed by an impr9SS1V6 victory over W1ll1ston Academ , and as yet, the new fie1d's record 18 unblemlshed by defeat Wlth Edson and Vear p1tch1ng and Sherman and Pulsford rece1v1ng, the team succeeded ln uslng 1ts terr1f1c air attack to advantage THE J V FOOTBALL TEAM An undefeated and untled record was rung up by the Junior Varslty football Team, w1th lmportant VlCt0Pi6S over W1l11St0H, Wilbraham and buflleld Led by the fleet-footed Ulck Jaslnski, Monson was forced to the llmit only ln the Willlston encounter This game was flnally won after a terr1f1c battle 20-13 Wlth Franc1s, Perry, Laoasse, b1mDDb Roberts and Johnson pavlng the way, the J V's proved to be one of the strongest elevens ever seen ln thls bracxet at the Academy THE VARSITY SOCCER TEAM The Monson Soccer ieam, coached by Mr George Morrow and Mr John Road, managed to 'wln the last two games on the1r schedule over strong college opposltlon and, thereby, rlng up a fltting close to an up and down season Vlctorles over the Frosh from Trlnity and the Unlverslty of Massachusetts proved that th1s club was of top-notch quallty, and that such booters as Charlie SZOStk18WiCZ, Dlck Golden, Don Swanson and Whlt Langdon, along w1th every other man on the club, were as capable a groap of players as Monson had seen in a good many years THE J V SOCCER TEAM The Junior Club 1n soccer found the going rough in places thls past season, but the younger fellows played a flne brand of ball and forced every opponent to the limlt Winnlng but one game, thls soccer club nevertheless engoyed themselves thoroughly, and such fellows as Caota1n UDocU Boyden, hyman Mlx and Al Edelsteln helped to provlde th1s team w1th the necessary drive and sp1r1t . . . , . . . . , .
