LIBRARY STAFF Miss Pascocello TYPING lm ea Miss Antoinette Santoemma Miss Santoemma has been at Farrell for four years. She teaches two typing courses and a notehand course. Miss Santoemma has a B.S. in education, an M.S. in business education and an Executive Secretarial Diploma from the Merchant and Bankers Business School. Miss Santoemma has taught at the Mandf Medical School and St. John's Villa Acade- my. She lists her interests as aerobic dancing, yoga and piano. 30 Sister Kelliher Sister Katherine Kelliher, C.N.D. Sister continues as the librarian at Farrell in her eleventh year here. She has an M.L.S. from Villanova University. Sister Kelliher has been an elementary school principal and has also taught Latin, French, English and history in three high schools. She moderates the library and audio-visual club. Sister Kel- liher enjoys theater, music, knitting, crochet- ing, sewing and all crafts. Charity begins at home and justice begins next door. Miss Anne Pascocello Miss Pascocello, who has been at Farrell for eight years, is the secretary to the librarian. She is well qualified, having worked as a sec- retary for the Navy Department and the De- partment of Defense and Public Health Ser- vice. Mlss Pascocello enjoys traveling, music, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Lord make me an instrument of your peace . . . Prayer of St. Francis USIC DEP RT E T Mr. Lawrence A. Christiansen Mr. Christiansen is the new Music Director at Farrell. Hisjobs include directing the March- ing Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir and the Gospel Choir. He has a B.RS. in sacred music from the Empire State College. Before coming to Farrell, Mr. Chris- tiansen was the chairman of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Staten Island Academy for five years. In his free time, he enjoys scripture studies and directing drum and bugle corps. Go home and practice!l!! Mr. Donald Joseph Mr. Joseph has been the assistant band direc- tor at Farrell for the past eleven years. He uses his talent and experience when instruct- ing the band members in the finer points of music. Mr. Joseph is an excellent musician and often joins the Farrell Band in concerts throughout the year. He enjoys all music.

Mrs. Patricia Mulligan Mrs. Mulligan, a member of the Farrell faculty for eight years, has a B.A. in English from Pace University and attended graduate school at the State University College at New Paltz. She previously taught at St. Rose ofLima School in Brooklyn and at St. Marks School in Catonsville, Maryland. Mrs. Mulligan, who co-moderates the Drama Club, enjoys needlework, the theater, aerobic dancing and going bowling with her husband, Donald. They have a three year old son, Timothy. One of her favorite quotes is Neither a borrower nor a lender be - especially when it comes to homework. 1 ff! 2' z vi Mr. Nicholas Garis Mr. Garis, who has been at Farrell for two years, teaches expository essay writing to seniors, English and honors English to sophomores and Library science and speech to freshmen. Mr. Garis' degrees included an A.A., a B.A. in English and an M.S. in secondary education. Before coming to Farrell, he was a substitute teacher at I.S. 34 and Tottenville H.S. Mr. Garis enjoys music, sports, photography, writing, travel, oth- ers and himself. A working class hero is something to be. 9' ...S-V' .,-4 Mr. Timothy J. Fitzpatrick Mr, Fitzpatrick came to Farrell this year and filled the position left open when Br. Guinn was forced to leave. He is teaching English to freshmen. Mr. Fitzpatrick has a B.A. in psychology from St. Francis College. He has taught in the New York area and worked at the Board of Education for three years. Mr. Fitzpatrick's interests include skiing, tennis, coaching, theatre, reading and traveling. Better late than nev- er. . .. to J Miss Elizabeth Wheeler Miss Wheeler is a new member of the Farrell faculty. She teaches A.P English, Classic Theatre and honors English tojuniors. Miss Wheeler is a graduate ofCountess Moore H.S. Her degrees include a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from Stony Brook and is currently flnishing her dissertation in American literature at Stony Brook and should graduate in June with a Ph.D. Miss Wheeler has also taught at Stony Brook and Southampton College. She is the new moderator of the sci- ence flction club at Farrell. Miss Wheeler lists her interests as camping, travel and Rock 8: Roll.

Reverend Robert Gannon In his nineteenth year at Farrell, Father Gannon continues to give outstanding guidance to our college-bound seniors. Father has taught Latin at Farrell and presently teaches Contemporary Moral Theology and Thanatology. He has a B.A. from St. Joseph's Seminary and Col- lege, and an M.A. from Fordham University. Father Gannon has also taught at Bishop Dubois H.S. Father is moderator of the varsity base- ball team. He enjoys reading, parish and hospital visitatlons and sports of all kinds. we Mr. Louis J. Bamonte Mr. Bamonte has been at Farrell for eight years. This year Mr. Bamonte teaches T.C.M. and is thejunior guidance counselor. He has a B.A. in secondary education and history from St. John's, an M.S. in religious education from Fordham, an M.S. in counseling psychology from Queens College and is a candidate for a Ph.D. in administration, super- vision and church leadership from Fordham University. Mr. Bamonte also taught at St. Kevin's School. Mr. Bamonte moderates the J.V. basketball team. His interests include raquetball, writing and theatre. It doesn't matter where you go, what you do or how much you have, it's who you have beside you. GUIDANCE DEP RT Reverend Emmet R. Nevin Father Nevin, who is in his second year at Farrell, teaches Thanatology, Contemporary Moral Theology, T.C.M. II and is the freshman guidance counselor. He is also the athletic director, Varsity wrestling coach and J.V. baseball moderator. Father Nevin has also taught at Tappan Zee H.S. He received a B.A. from Pace University QNYCQ and attended St. Joseph's Seminary. Father Nevin enjoys water skiing, camping, canoe- ing, boating and squash. Brother M.D. McCu1lagh, C.EC. Brother McCullagh likes to say he has been at Farrell for almost one year. The entire school is thankful and pleased to see Brother healthy and happy this year at Farrell. He supplies the sophomores with guid- ance and teaches English I Honors. Brother's degrees include a B.A. from Iona College, an M.A. from DePaul University and he has done graduate work in guidance and counseling at Seton Hall University. He has taught in Newfoundland, Chicago, and throughout the New York area. Brother McCullagh moderates the Forensics club and the Band. He enjoys walking, photography, classical music and Broadway-Show tunes. Repition is the mother of learning. . 3 X. 4
