In addition to this responsibility, he also teaches English II and III. Mr. Walsh has a B.A. from Manhatten College and an M.A. from Seton Hall University. Mr. Walsh is the outstanding coach of the Varsity cross-country and track and field team. He enjoys running, golfing, water sports and reading. ENGLISH DEP RTME Miss Denise Schweffler Miss Schweffler is now in her second year at Farrell. She has taught honors English to Freshman and this year is teaching English to sopho- mores and library science and speech to freshmen. Miss Schweffler has a B.A. in English. She has also taught at Assumption School. At Farrell, Miss Schweffler moderates the drama club. She enjoys swimming, read- ing, dance and theatre. . 6 VKVL M? sryslr ? Carmel School. Mr. Fenley teaches English I and IV He moderates the Varsity basketball team. Mr. Fenley's interests include reading, music and animals. Live life to your fullest capacity.

Mr. David Gallagher In his Second year at Farrell, Mr. Gallagher teaches senior courses in advanced Algebra and introduction to calculus. Mr. Gallagher has a B.A. from the Open University and a Certificate in Education, both obtained in England. His previous teaching positions were also in England at Handsworth St. Jo- seph's School and St. Catherines School, both in Sheffield. Mr. Gallagher is the coach of the J.V. soccer team. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Ginny, reading, most sporting activities, photography, and the the- atre. Ifyou've enjoyed it halfas much as me, then I've enjoyed it twice as much as you! M. Python ..-ii. Mr. William Monks Mr. Monks is a four year veteran at Farrell. He teaches Geometry and math XI. Mr. Monks received his B.S. in mathematics from the College of Staten Island. He moderates the Karate club. Mr. Monks' interests include antique cars and travel. 'kReal strength comes from within. . X S? ' ' I ' I 'ggi K' Brother Michael Lee Br. Lee teaches math to freshmen and is cur- rently in his first year at Farrell. He received a B.S. and an M.S. from Fordham University, an M.S. from the University of Arizona and N.S.F certificates in math and science from Boston College, Fordham, Holy Cross, St. Pe- ter's and Fairleigh Dickenson. Before coming to Farrell, Brother taught for thirty three years in CFC. schools in New York, New Jer- sey and California. Mr. Robert Petosa Mr. Petosa is a new addition to the Farrell math department. He is teaching Trigonom- etry and an interesting new senior elective in Genetics. Mr. Petosa has a B.S. in biology. He is the coach of the freshman football team. Mr. Petosa enjoys all sports, music and a good book. Mr. Peter Ghigliotti Mr. Ghigliotti, in his third year at Farrell, teaches Math IX and Math X. This year he has added responsibilities as Assistant to the Dean. He has a B.A. from Niagara University and a Masters from the College of Staten Is- land. In his free time he enjoys a variety of sports and music. His motto is 'KWell done is better than well said. Brother R. Mark Guillimette Brother Guillimette teaches accelerated math IX and X, calculus and computers, in his first year at Farrell. He has a B.A. in math from Iona College and is a candidate for an M.S. in computer science from the Polytech- nic Institute of New York. Brother has also taught at St. Lucy's School in Manhattan. He moderates the Varsity soccer team, the chess club and the bike club. Brother Guillimette enjoys swimming, sailing and loves biking. Whenever you pass Brother in the halls, he can often be heard saying, Yeh hello.

Mrs. Patricia Mulligan Mrs. Mulligan, a member of the Farrell faculty for eight years, has a B.A. in English from Pace University and attended graduate school at the State University College at New Paltz. She previously taught at St. Rose ofLima School in Brooklyn and at St. Marks School in Catonsville, Maryland. Mrs. Mulligan, who co-moderates the Drama Club, enjoys needlework, the theater, aerobic dancing and going bowling with her husband, Donald. They have a three year old son, Timothy. One of her favorite quotes is Neither a borrower nor a lender be - especially when it comes to homework. 1 ff! 2' z vi Mr. Nicholas Garis Mr. Garis, who has been at Farrell for two years, teaches expository essay writing to seniors, English and honors English to sophomores and Library science and speech to freshmen. Mr. Garis' degrees included an A.A., a B.A. in English and an M.S. in secondary education. Before coming to Farrell, he was a substitute teacher at I.S. 34 and Tottenville H.S. Mr. Garis enjoys music, sports, photography, writing, travel, oth- ers and himself. A working class hero is something to be. 9' ...S-V' .,-4 Mr. Timothy J. Fitzpatrick Mr, Fitzpatrick came to Farrell this year and filled the position left open when Br. Guinn was forced to leave. He is teaching English to freshmen. Mr. Fitzpatrick has a B.A. in psychology from St. Francis College. He has taught in the New York area and worked at the Board of Education for three years. Mr. Fitzpatrick's interests include skiing, tennis, coaching, theatre, reading and traveling. Better late than nev- er. . .. to J Miss Elizabeth Wheeler Miss Wheeler is a new member of the Farrell faculty. She teaches A.P English, Classic Theatre and honors English tojuniors. Miss Wheeler is a graduate ofCountess Moore H.S. Her degrees include a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from Stony Brook and is currently flnishing her dissertation in American literature at Stony Brook and should graduate in June with a Ph.D. Miss Wheeler has also taught at Stony Brook and Southampton College. She is the new moderator of the sci- ence flction club at Farrell. Miss Wheeler lists her interests as camping, travel and Rock 8: Roll.
