Brother Francis K. Fish Brother Fish has taught chemistry for the past four years at Farrell. He has a B.S. and an M.S. and has studied at Fordham Universi- ty, DePaul University, Capitol University and the Iona Graduate School. Brother previous- ly taught at Rice H.S. and Bergen Catholic H.S. Brother Fish moderates the National Honor Society and the Missions club. He lists his interests as reading. good music and trav- eling. Mr. James Giordano Mr. Giordano is in his first year teaching at Farrell. He teaches Psychology to seniors and Biology to sophomores. Mr. Giordano gradu- ated from Farrell and went on to graduate from St. Peter's College fcum laudej with a B.S. He will be a candidate for M.S. in Neur- opsychology from Vermont College in June. He moderates the Judo, weight lifting and ski clubs. Mr. Giordano is a First degree black- belt in Judo and enjoys running, weight lift- ing, skydiving and sport Fishing. Never buy the cow when you can get the milk for free! . ......,. .,..,-.. I ' ' . Q a K Mrs. Kathleen Reitz Mrs. Reitz is teaching A.R biology and biol- ogy in her fourth year at Farrell. She has a B.A. from Notre Dame College and an M.S. from Richmond College. Mrs. Reitz has also taught at New Dorp H.S. and Tottenville H.S. Mrs. Reitz is the moderator of the Farrell Emergency Care Team. Mr. John Zalot Mr. Zalot is one of the new faces at Farrell this year. He teaches chemistry and physical science. Mr. Zalot has a B.S. in physics from Wilkes College and an M.S. in philosophy from the Graduate Faculty New School. He has also taught at Christ the King School, the Nyack Prep School, the School of the Trans- figuration and the Academy of the Sacred Heart. vm... 3 4.-. . L t, ff. I. ! .... L. .... l I l l l Mr. Robert D. Burke Mr. Burke has been teaching chemistry for the past five years at Farrell. He holds a B.S. from the John Jay College of Criminal Jus- tice. an M.S. from Queens College and an A.A.S. from N.Y.C.C. Mr. Burke has also taught at Master Christi Mr. Joseph Castro Mr. Castro, who teaches Physics, is a new addition to the science department at Far- rell. He has a B.S. in natural science from Fordham University. Mr. Castro is continuing his education with courses in education at the College of Staten Island. 25

Mr. Lawrence V Musanti Mr. Musanti is the chairman of the science department. He teaches physics, chemistry, A.R chemistry and driver ed. Mr. Musanti has a B.S in chemistry and an M,S. in environmental science and secondary edu- cation. He is the assistant coach of the Varsity baseball team, Mr Musanti enjoys fishing and softball. SCIENCE DEP RT EN Brother Kirk A. Phelps Brother teaches physics and A.R physics. He is in his third year at Farrell and taught acc. math IX and X for his first two years. Brother Phelps has taught at Rice H.S., Bishop Kear- ny H.S., and Essex Catholic H.S. He is the book store manager and moderator of Corner- stone. Brother has made himself very acces- sible in the bookstore, where he can often be found helping students. He enjoys skiing, ten- nis and reading. Brother Phelps has a B.S. from Iona College and an M.S. from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. When discuss- ing deadlines wlth the yearbook staff, Broth- er can be heard saying, 'LThem's the breaks in the big city. ,SRV ias ...nd Mrs. Gail Palumbo Mrs. Palumbo has been at Farrell for two years and in this time she has taught ninth year science, Biology and basic computer sci- ence. She has a B.S. in chemistry from Fair- leigh Dickinson University and will receive an M.S. in August from L.I.U. 'Before coming to Farrell Mrs. Palumbo was a substitute teacher in the Island Parochial schools. Mrs. Palumbo aids and encourages any Farrell stu- dent interested in making a science fair pro- ject. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ralph, and two chil- dren. Mrs. Palumbo also enjoys fishing, boat- ing and crocheting. if 3 Mr. Richard Walsh Mr. Walsh is in his first year at Farrell. He is teaching computer science and English. Mr. Walsh is a graduate of Farrell and has a B.S. in English, education and planitarium sci- ence from Wagner College. He also has done graduate work in education at Wagner Col- lege and in computer science at Morris Coun- ty Community College. Mr. Walsh has taught at St. John's Villa and the Jefferson Town- ship H.S. Mr. Walsh moderates the new home computer club at Farrell. He enjoys photog- raphy and computers. V

Reverend John R Comiskey Fr. Comiskey, a member ofthe Farrell faculty for eighteen years, has a B.A. and an M.A. from St. Joseph's Seminary and College, an M.A. in mathematics from Fordham University and earned a certificate in com- puter science from New York University. Previous to teaching at Far- rell, he taught at Marymount College. Father teaches A.I-Y math, accel- erated math XI and computer science. Father Comiskey moderates the Lion, newspaper, and is the head coach of the Varsity and J.V math team. In his spare time, Father enjoys swimming, travelling, the theatre and various types of sharing activities. Well-defined portions of an algorithm should be coded as subroutines. Arthur Gill -- Machine and Assembly Language Programming of the PDP-II. MATHEMATICS DEP RT ME T Mr. Conard H. Meibauer Mr. Meibauer is a model of dedication. He has been teaching at Farrell for the past nineteen years. In this time he has taught math to fresh- men, sophomores andjuniors and a senior elective in mechanical draw- ing. Mr. Meibauer has a B.A. from Wagner College and an M.A. from Richmond College. Mr. Meibauer is the coach of the very successful Varsity and freshman swim teams. He also moderates the model rail- road club. -.X Mrs. Patricia C. Geraghty Mrs. Geraghty has been at Farrell for four years. She teaches modern Algebra and math X. Mrs. Geraghty has a B.A. in math. She has taught at Erasmus Hall, Port Richmond and Notre Dame H.S. Mrs. Geraghty enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and also swimming, tennis, singing and cooking.
