ALTITUDE CONTROL-Bill Campbell, Bonner's lead- ing rebounder, taps in a two-pointer against the Father Judge Crusaders. Bill's quick hands and high jumping power helped him to keep the scoring leaders of the league in check. His close defense of All-Catholic Prep- per, Tom Duff, disrupted St. Joseph's offense and almost turned the tide for a Friar upset. LANDING SYSTEM in check, Chuckles McKenna re turns to the hardwood with another rebound. Chuckles, was always fighting and made up for his lack out experi ence with desire and hustle. APEX OF ARC-Dick Stanton hangs in the air while he unleashes his familiar jump shot. The Friars pulled an upset in this game, but the playoifs were out of reach. Mike's dazzling dribbling and devasting jump shot shook the morale of many opposing teams. His 'best effort was a thirty- two point game in the season's final against St. Thomas More. ESCAPING GRAVITY-Dick Stanton tries a fall-away shot against West Catholic. When the middle was clogged, Dick persistently brought the crowd to their feet with a long swish- er from outside. ESTABLISHING CONTACT-Charlie McKenna grabs a crucial rebound during a contest with the Bulldogs from St. James. Chuck's turn-around jump shot was the scourge of many opposing teams.

SPACE GLIDE-Soph-to-watch Frank Guerin deposits a deuce against Ro- man Catholic. Sophomores Guerin, Kroppe and Schaefer carry the hopes of Friar rooters for future years. Their great record and unlimited potential is a prediction of great basketball teams in the years to come. LIQUID' PROPELLED-Pat Carroll, Jayvee star and Varsity substitute, drihbles by a Roman Catholic defend- er. Carroll, Guerin, and Kroppe owned the backboards in almost all their games. The team had the enviable rec- 1 ord of 10-4, their first defeat coming in an overtime loss to St. James. ll' fle Diapers SPACE GUN-Talented sophomore Mike Schaefer looks for a shot in a game against Bishop Neumann. Mike, John Lawlor, and Bill Salmon shared backcourt duties, while Pat Carroll, Norm Kroppe, Pat McCrea and Frank Guerin rounded out the forward positions.
