74lfE!ll AM 0 For the seventh season, the Friar Track Team has proven itself capable of flashing its name in the lime-light of the Sports World. A new batch of footmen has ap- peared on the scene to carry our banner to greater track triumphs. Through constant rehearsal, the team reached its peak form by the time of its opening meet. As is true of all commendable shows, much credit for their success belongs to the unacclaimed leadership of their coach, Dixie Dunbar, and their moderator, Fr. Dunleavy. Cap- tain John Mullin, who climbed the rough road of success, now heads his group by sprinting both the 100 and 220 yard races in enviable times. COME ALONG WITH ME shouts John Mullin to Rich Shermin as they jog around the familiar arch. Both boys express signs of triumph as their smiling faces light up the way. John Mullin, Bonner's best sprinter, and Rich Sherwin, our finest hurdler, have been a credit to Coach Dixie Dunbar. BEYOND THE BLUE HORIZON and into the landing pit jumps Paul Fraatz. Besides doing the broad jump, Paul also runs the mile in per- fect form.

XV MXVIKM The combination of rookies and Veterans formulates the makings of a top show. Power plus pitching endorse the team's bid to have a vic- torious season. On stage, the varsity, with the continued help of many old standouts and a returning Freshman squad, seem confident in their conquest of a championship year. Making their debut this year, Coach Tom Sabol and moderator Fr. Duff foresee many future stars on the diamond. The Hall of Fame consists this year of Mike Manning, Jim McGlynn, Leon Seccia, Jackie Hamilton and John Connors. DAY BY DAY coach Tom Sabol is building the team into a well-balanced nine. His constant guidance is sure to be rewarded by a successful season. THERE'S GONNA BE A GREAT DAY when the baseball team gets un- derway. This year's squad is com- posed of: Coach Tom Sabol, J. Con- nors, J. Hamilton, L. Seccia, B. Mad- den, M. Manning, M. Lavelle, J. Campbell, J. Cunningham, J. Mc- Glynn, and assistant coach, R. Celi- donio. JUNE IS BUSTIN' 'OUT' ALL OVER, but long, before it does the trio of Jack Hamilton, Jim McGlynn and John Connors is out loosening up their sore arms for another long sea- son.
