SMALL WORLD-Chappie and the boysucheck the progress of an eager Burr as Vince Grubb comes rushing in to lend a helping hand. The Friar defense strikes again, stopping the hard- running West back. They dispelled and scat- tered the opposing oifense to spur on the Friars against West Catholic. Capitalizing on the tre- mendous support given by the Bonner defense, our team went on to battle West to a 14-14 stalemate. TRIO OF TALENT-Fullback Vince Grubb cuts in behind teammate Mike Carroll, who prepares to take out a Roman defender. Vince's ability to pick up needed yardage combined with his fine blocking made him a valuable asset toI the Friar backfield. Defensively, Vince was always in the right place at the right time to close the door on the progress of opposing runners. --2.35 - I I my . 3-, I. s I- I sa- S sf - an Is, ,-..s as 5 - will as - QV f IA, I. , , 3 if , '. 'sf s DONT FENCE ME IN-Bernie Constanza displays fancy footwork in an attempt to avoid a potential Roman tackler. Bernie is just one of the many stars rising for future years. 'TAKEN IXV 7'0YL.4!V0 BONNER'S BUSTLING J.V.'s get a workout along with the varsity. Their compelling spirit was rewarded by a successful 4-2 record. Many up-and- coming .l.V. players deserve special credit. Among them is Mike Carroll, a promising Junior back who displayed fine running ability throughout the season. Fellow Junior, ,lack Mcllhenney, possesses a fine passing arm, and his touchdown pass against La Salle gave promise of a bright future. These are just two of the many hopefuls who will fill the hill for the future varsity. ALONE IN THE SKY-Mike Carroll, hard-running J.V. halfback, demon- strates his versatility as he leaps high to gather in a Jack Mcllhenny pass. Dependable teamwork such as this was the key to the success of the J.V. team. A sv , .. :K , N- - W - - ff. ww an --me ffm Qgwyrgpr-w1,AtfM-.g!yfrsw'I1yjsQyjv'1N if C C Q A ,lf . Q , ii Q Q - V f 3 .
