Crowd Applaud READY FOR BATTLE-Intense interest radiates from the faces of the team as they.prepare to meet La Salle at Twentieth and Olney. The Friar offense was one of the few in the league which penetrated the invincible Explorer defense. This elfort, however, was not enough as La Salle halted a determined Friar hid for the title. THE MAN IN COMMAND-Showing a sign of keen interest, Coach Jack Ferrante follows the play developing on the field. It was through Coach Ferrante's great knowledge of the game that Bonner finished near the top for the third season in a row. THE FIELD GENERAL-Quarterback Dave Connell rolls out on an option play. His run- ning, faking, and passing abilities proved to be the key to many a victory. For his fine play Dave received honorable mention on the All- Catholicn squad. 9? Quick thinking combined with explosive speed enabled him to get the edge on the St. James defender. Whether on defense or on offense, Henry always displayed the fiery spirit necessary for a successful team. WHO-0-0 DID THAT-Russ Hendricks seems to question the other members of the starting offensive unit. Taking a much needed time out the offensive team rests while the superlative defense clashes with the opposing team. Sitting tleft to right? Pat McCrea, Dave Connell, Chappie Moore, Russ Hendricks, Dick Sernyak, Vince Grubb, Pat Murphy, and John McAdams.

Precision teamwork such as this prevailed in all of the Bonner victories this ye-ar. on YQ-4 setr -if we NO BULLDOGS ALLO-WED - The timely blocking of Chappie Moore combined with the speed and drive of Dick Sernyak adds up to a big gain for the Friars in their first game with Saint James. These two players con- sistently showed an undying desire to bring home another victory for Bon- ner.
