'xr' Wann-arp' V id The 1961 Bon-Aire takes pleasure in intro- ducing the new leader of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Most Reverend John J. Krol, D.D., J.C.D. He attended St. Mary's College, Michigan, and St. lVIary's Seminary where he was ordained on February 20, 1937. After being ordained, he went to Rome where he finished his studies at Gregorian University. After serv- ing for over seven years as Auxiliary Bishop of Cleveland, on March 22, 1961, Bishop Krol was appointed Archbishop of Philadelphia to suc- ceed our late beloved Cardinal 0'Hara. From the Freshmen as 'Gunder- studiesv to the Seniors as full-fledged ustarsf' Monsignor Bonner High School is the stage for the many sports and ac- tivities which complement our daily studies. After four years of practice and rehearsals, the men of Bonner go out into the world well prepared to take their places as famous personalities with their names in lights. Witli the help and guidance of talented directors, our future stars are assured of attaining top billing in anything they undertake.
