The enthusiasm of this large group of students and their support of this new activity indicate a successful future for the Bonner Singers. VOICE OF BONNER ITRESSED IN l OllM:'tl, ATTIRE, the llonner singers hold a captive audi- ence during thc All-Catholic Band Concert. Their appearance supplemented the orchestra's music and hccause of their line performance, they have mer- itcd a permanent place in these concerts. Under the baton of their ex- perienced leader, Father Doherty, they are expected to reach even greater heights in the coming years. On Open House Night 1959, the resonance of sixty-seven male voices raised in song filled the auditorium. This debut of the Bonner Singers climaxed many long hours of work learning the high notes, the low notes, and all the in-between notes. Newly formed this year, the singing group has become, under the very ahle leader- ship of Father Edward Doherty, O.S.A., a popu- lar addition to the music department of Bonner. Our Singers appeared in many events during the year including the comhined effort with Cardinal Dougherty's Glee Cluh at the All- Catholie Band Concert in which they were rc- ceived with great aeclamation and applause. The entire school joins in wishing them much success in the future. 'fan AROUND THE PIANO at an informal practice session are Father Doherty and his singers.
