xff Business Manager MR. PAUL M. ADDIS, our young and personable Business Manager, has under his iurisdiction all accounting and budgeting business, assisted by Mrs. Bernice Robidart, maintenance and trans- portation, aided by Mr. Ace Wheeler, and cafe- teria by Mrs. Catherine Gill. These name but a few of his duties and assistants. Our Manager s-upervises the construction, rehabilitation, and renovation of our buildings. His friendly smile and warm personality have been a morale booster to all of us. He has been in our district since 1957. Here he is - the man behind the scenes, Mr. Paul Addis. 5 This is the face that has a good morning glow, even at 3:05 P.M. Principal DURING NINE YEARS of service, Principal Frank Williamson has worked hard and diligently for our school and community. His warm smile and effervescent personality have helped make our years at M-D pleasant and memorable. Since he first came to M-D as vice-principal, he has seen many changes. He has seen Monrovia High left on her own, as Arcadia and Duarte went their own ways. E721 .7

Schmutz absent. i T o 1 uperlntenclent MOST IMPORTANT man on our campus is Mr. Stanley McClintic, Superintendent of the Mon- rovia-Duarte High School District, He functions as executive agent of the Board of Trustees. Our Superintendent started his career in 1928 when he became a social science teacher at M-D. Later he was promoted to the job of vice-principal and then he became principal. In 1948 he was named Superintendent. This year Mister McClintic saw construction on the Main Building completed. Supl. ,- ,, THIS WAS Mr. Robert Long's big and busy year at school as he fulfilled the duties of his new administrative post, Director of Research. He continued to serve as chairman ofthe school's Math- ematics Department. Mr. Long worked at counselling and programming students, scheduling group tests, and interpreting test results. He took charge of co-ordin- ating the More Capable Learner pro- gram, consisting of special accelerated classes for students showing exceptional aptitude, and consulted with teachers and students involved in these classes. MRS. ESTELLA PETERSON h G s many varied duties, including the handling of Mr. Williamson's correspondence, mak- ing appointments, taking minutes at meetings, and setting up both student and teacher bulletins. Also, she assists in making arrangements for P.T.A. meet- ings. A yearly project for her is arrang- ing the commencement and baccalaur- eate programs. This is an important iob filled to the utmost by Mrs. Peterson. She began at this school eight years ago as switchboard operator. Three years ago she received her present iob as private secretary to Mr. Williamson. ,uf-'
