BRUCE BALLARD, A.S.B. PRESIDENT Our l952-1953 leader of our universe, Bruce Ballard, and his Council for the Improvement of School Facilities have set worlds in motion for the betterment of our universe. Their dreams to redecorate the auditorium, to install improved facilities in the gymnasiums, and to build our long-awaited swimming pool will not be re- alized until next year, but it is through their et- forts that these dreams will turn into reality. Spurrecl on by Bruce's enterprising leadership, our A.S.B. officers have proved that action speaks louder than words. Versatile Bruce is not only our leader, but he is also an active member of our Monarcs, Schol- arship Society, Key Club, Lettermen, and Block M. cgi .inf ZYECLCIEYZQ O Q' in Mamma, C. Here the students reluctantly give their money to Mrs. Fox for homework supplies and much more willingly buy materials less rnen- tally fatiguing, such as tickets, car decorations, and rooters' caps. ROW I Romney, Snyder, Hamilton, Malone, Furgerson, Scott, Billmon. ROW 7 Cope Thomas, Stein, Groot, Henry, Watenpaugh, Jessen, Sturgeon. owz Jlfl CAIOTKJ STUDENT BODY CABIN ET Early in the year, John Sturgeon and his Hi-week Committee and Pat Hamilton and her A.S.B. cards lately started a chain reaction of excellent assemblies, roaring pep rallies, and fabulous dances, announced by the particular excellence of the colorful posters of Barbara Scott and Joe Henry. This year's club program was mentored by Lois Malone and Joe Royle. Tom Jessen, Jack Groat, and Carolyn Snyder publicized all of our games throughout the year, and Bob Cope kept the in- tramural program running smoothly. Nancy Billman, chancellor of the exchequer, and Mary Furgerson, royal scribe, kept our finances and records in excellent condition. These Madites, pooling their many talents, have done more than their part to make this one of M.A.D.'s greatest years. C.I.S.F. Calling itself the Council for the Improvement of School Facilities, a new organization made its debut on our campus this year. Composed of students as well as faculty members and towns- people, the C.I,S.F. went to work on our school needs. The findings of a detailed survey led to a March bond election. Results for the future will be improvement of existing facilities and expan- sion of courses offered. ROW I: Thomas, Ballard, Wynn, Groot. ROW 2: Sturgeon, Mr. Frank Williamson, Royle.
