Being a part of this organization proved to be a great responsibilit for all member ' 1 d e Very Important Leaders Club was set up last year for presidents of all organizations at Mon- y s mvo ve . The VIL's helped each other to form and achieve their club goals as well as making them run smoothly. One of their activities was making Jane Heyrnan an Honorary member, another was going out to supper after a club meeting. The VIL's also sponsored a program by which each class got to pick a certain holiday to go over to Vanson's for lunch. They also prepared a VIL's datebook, which is a bulletin board with all the school activities on it for each month.

The first and most important area of evaluation is that of scholarship, seventy percent of the decision is based on the st'udent's grade average. The selection of a member is also based on his leadership in classroom and school activities, his character, and his service to others. At 7:30 p.m. on january 6, 1975, new members were inducted in a candlelighting ceremony, attended by their parents. Members and their parents were also invited to the Honor's Banquet, held May 14. These students have attained a high honor in being chosen as Honor Society Members. They are to be com- mended for possessing such high qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. 42
