FOOTBALL COMPLETE FIRST GRID SEASON M. H. S. football team closed its first official season on Saturday, November 4, 1961, at Perkins High. It was a lean season, victory-wise, for the Eagles, who racked up but a single victory in the eight-game schedule. They defeated Green Springs 18-15 on September 15 in a night game. Coach Emil Kn orr ' s players showed much im- provement as the season progressed, and high hopes are held for the team next year. The schedule this year included games with Woodville, Green Springs, Milan, Western Reserve, Colonel Crawford, Berlin Heights, St. Paul ' s of Norwalk, and Perkins. Com- pleting the first M. H. S. football season in many years, the squad included: 1. Thorny Miller, Richard Pierce, Tom Miller, Gary Miller, Tom Hemer, Mike Enright. 2. Andy Latham, Bill Schick, Steve Pan- coast, John Sabo, Dave Schick, Rich Morman and Ron Lawyer, manager. 3. Paul Krick, Jerry Schwan, Ray Heck, Danny Pierce, Tom Eberly, Don Eastman, Rich Turner, and Jim Purdy.
