The eighth grade football team finished with a 2-1-1 record. Their best game was an 18-O victory over Roosevelt. The boys gained much experience in passing, blocking, and kicking. Their only defeat was to Roosevelt during mid-season, losing by l point. But in the return game, Monroe came back strong, posting a. 64- 54 victory over their city rival. This progress is illus- trated by St. Joseph's victory over Monroe early in the season. Later Monroe smoothly counteracted and was victorious over St. Joseph with a score of 64 - 31. With such valuable experience as this, Monroe is sure to do well next year. X 47 1 ..Js
