There has been an increase in the number of members and a marked increase in ability. This progress is due not only to the able director, Mr. Bromley, but also to the great amount of effort and energy displayed by the young musicians. This year the orchestra has put all popular selections aside and is only playing selections from standard classics. Although the orchestra has played before the assembly many times, the most important appearance was at the High School Frolic when the following program was presented: ,Opening-War of the Nations . . . .... Mackie-Beyer Many realized for the first time, when they heard this program, that Monroe high school has a musical organization of which it can be very proud.
