+MH-u ------------ m1mmmw-P--MMwwaw-mPm- lN TER-CLASS ATHLETIC CONil'liSTS The ooject of these interclass athletic contests is to get all the boys into some Iorm or activity. Those on the first and second teams or tootbali, base- ball and basketball are not allowed to compete in any interclass contest. It does serve to bring in, however, nearly every boy in nigh school in some sport or other. Many and varied were the events this year and the results, in many cases were rather surprising. The Tug-0'-war resulted in the juniors winning First place, with the Sophs second, giving the former 50 points and the latter 25 points. The Seniors were hrst in Kick-ball, earning 50 points, the Freshmen second, earning for themselves 25 points. Kick-goal brought 50 points to the winning juniors, and to the Seniors 25 points. Basket-ball free throws resulted in 50 points for the Fresh and 25 for the juniors. 7 r The basketball games gave the juniors a total of 75 points and the Soph- omores 100 points. Volley ball, another interclass activity-juniors IO Oand Sophomores 75 points. Cage ball added 50 points to the Seniors score and gave to the Sophs 1:5 points. Track work stands: Seniors 100 and juniors 75. There are two events still to be run off at this writing, but it looks as though the juniors will win the cup for the second successive season. The hest the Sophs and Seniors can do is to tie with the juniors, and that looks doubtful as the juniors have a strong team. NC' 'f +Hm-Hmmmmmwp---mh1n5q ------- nwwmwq-

-------------is Buglz -u------------- 1sixs14ETnA1.1. QISOYS5 Although Monroe did not make a great success of basketball from the standpoint of games won and lost, she certainly did make a good showing considering the class of opponents she was compelled to face. Many of the opposing teams went in for the State tournaments. Monroe had five veterans and these, aided by some of the second string men, made up her team. Injury and ineligibility cut the squad down some- what. Harold XVagner, captain-elect, was declared ineligible at the end of the first semester. The regular line-up included: Capt. Rupp, Rottenbucher, Kaiser, Snyder, Leason, with Dansby, Captain-elect Vllagner, Brancheau, NfValtz and Bunkleman to step in at any time and lcnd their aid. 1925 - ,-,- ----------. - -
