For five years they have had to listen to our jokes, hear our trou- bles with sympathetic ears, contend with our noise and incessant chatter, and, when we became Seniors, more often than not they were the object of our numer- ous a s. tfill 'fha echoes sound in evsxmj hall, fill our hearts inonsoaevinosfmill. oqe , ond ever omg hae. What memories of you, Monroe, shall we carry away with us? Perhaps it will be those of Wednesday morning assemblies, of Spring elections, with all their fervid campaigning, of classes that lasted too long, and llmch periods that didn't. Is it any wonder then, that we should want to keep these precious moments in our hearts forever? That, in essence, is the purpose of this yearbook, to preserve these moments, these memories for us alwaysg to help recall to us the teachers who have taught us, the friends we have made, the things we have done-this is the role Monrolog plays for us now. lt is through Monrolog, the key to the door of our high school days, that we, the Class of '52, wish to thank you, Monroe, for those five years so well and so fully spent in what is truly the fairest high school of them all. Miss Laura Spurr returned last September to wind up homeroom l0l's stay at Monroe in true senior-year fashion. Mr. Paul Matheis, followed by Mr. John Wiles, supervised a homeroom of future '52 graduates. Miss Irene Kelly, Mr. Raymond Savage, Miss Lucille Reuschle, Miss Grace Murray, and Mr. John Ferner have had the roughest time for they have been subject to their groups for all five years. When we entered Monroe, we were told that our homeroom teachers would act as second parents to us, guiding and advising during the school day. For this eat service, we a ain ex ress our sincere thanks to the uardians of our home- P away-from-home . In appreciation of the patience, wisdom, understandin , and consideration which they have shown to us, we, the Senior Class of 1955 dedicate this year- book to the senior homeroom teachers. 5 X l
