For we, the Class of '52, are aware of now being on the threshold of new, broader horizons-career, college, or marriage. But as we look eagerly to the future, so do we look back longingly upon the past five sometimes wonderful, sometimes trying years. In those years, we have witnessed a world frantically searching for peace, and we have been vividly aware of the many epoch-making events that have occurred-the presidential elections, the activities of the United Na- tions, the emergence of war in the Far East. These we have felt and these we shall re- member. Yet we shall also keep with us other memories-memories of Monroe High.
