JANUARY DIQUIDHECY Rochester, New York-1945 You are listening to Station MHS, Monroe High School Auditorium, Rochester, N. Y. The first speaker on our program will be Mr. John Chamberlain, who will give a short talk on Why I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. Mr. Chamberlain came to Monroe an amateur bubble- blower, although Mr. Wiles didn't know it, but now, is giving private lessons to the blue-bloods on Park Avenue. lk lk lk X lk X Ik Thank you, Mr. Chamberlain! We now present our own blues singer Miss Roshelen Morgan- lazer, who will chant the charming My Man. Miss Morganlazer graduated Monroe in '37 and is still looking for her man. lk if x -or x x for The next number on our program will be a skit titled Restricted Silence. This is the modern version of Free Speech, which was presented for our enjoyment and graduation the night of January 20th, eight long years ago. To add to the atmosphere we will have a cast of three men and three girls, instead of the original all male production. The scene is laid in the courtyard of Sing-Sing prison, Ossining, N. Y. The warden is played by Floyd Weiss, who is speaking to the prisoner, LaVerne Horton. LaVerne's childhood gal Helen Watson is waiting for a tete-a-tete with the culprit as usual. The other member of the original cast is Art Davis assisted by Betty the Paul, and Doris the Weaver. We pause now for station identification-- The sponsor of our program, Mr. Robert Wiley, the motorcycle manufacturer, has a little treat for us, in the form of Miss Buzzy Van Arsdale and Miss Carol McDonald, who will tell you the secret to their success as America's most sought-after dress models. lk lk if lk X X if Thank you, girls, I am delighted to hear that you attribute your success to the daily riding of Wiley's Noiseless Motorcycles. ' Now we have those Rasping Rascals of Rhythm , Paul Schweid, Thomas McHugh, and Carlton Webster singing We Ain't Got Rhythm. Immediately after this number Miss Doris Sedgwick will go to town. It is also a great privilege to have here the All-American, All-Scholastic, All-Star basketball player, Mr. Paul Bansbach, and his charming stooge Miss Barbara Van Demark. Years ago at Monroe, Miss Van Demark wrote sweet notes to Mr. Bansbach, but today she is publicity agent and manager. V x x x wk for X lk Well, thanks for listenin'-and remember for greater comfort and satisfaction ride Wiley's Noiseless Motorcycles. This is station MHS signing off, your announcer has been Setag Tenaj Creading from right to leftj. 19
