Seniors Face New Challenges Alton, Denise Andersen, Susan Anderson, Mary Bailey, Shiela As the high school days come to a close, the senior faces a new and different challenge in life. Much has been learned in the past four years, hut not all of it from books. Seniors have learned to work together, to make new friends, and many other things about people and life just as valuable for a successful future such as math and English. There are memories for the senior to cherish the rest of their lives: the various planning committees to get things done, the pep assemblies, the class competition trophy for the year of 1974 and having the Football Queen from the class of ’75 all four years. There is also the special excitement that a senior experiences in the spring of the graduating year, as plans for the prom and graduation become more of a reality and the anticipation of watching a fellow class member represent Monroe during the Rose Festival. Many of the people will never be seen again after graduation and as each member of the class of ’75 goes their own way, it will be the end of the class as a functioning unit, but the beginning of many great things in life as individuals. Beck, Nickie Bell, Michelle Berge, Roberta Blum, Linda A. P. Marion contemplates the days after graduation. 25
