,X Y COACH MYRON KNAUFF Coach Myron Knauff has been at Monroe for three years. In 1947, he led a fine team on to a sectional vic- tory. He is considered one of the best coaches Monroe has ever had. CLAREN LEHMAN Claren finished three years of varsity basketball which included many fine performances. His stellar work cn rebounds was his out- standing feats: although, he was capable of coming up, with several points occasionally. He usually played a fine defensive game, es- pecially his senior year. His per- formance against Portland's Brews- ter in the 1947 regional was one of the best games of his career. Clezz always lined up at forward and he was one of our pivot men. M. C :Q MILTON HABEGGER Milt was the leading scorer on the team the past two years. He played center and was always used on thx: pivot. He was depended upon great- ly for defensive rebounds because of his height and ability to grab that ball. Milt was selected on the all- sectional team his sophomore, jun- ior, and senior years and' was awarded a spot on the all-regional second team his sophomore year. He is a senior and a four-year man. M. C. K. ROBERT EHRSAM Robert fbetter known as Jimi was a junior and has played two years on the varsity. He is an er:- cellent defensive man and was us- ually counted upon to guard thc leading scorer of the opposing team. Jim was a consistent free throw shooter, hitting over 62 per cent for the season. He always did his share of scoring, and ali' ng with Rowdon was one of our dependable guards. -M. C. K. GLENN ROWDON Glenn was the smallest player on our team. His keen alertness in de- tecting the weaknesses of the op- position helped to win several ball games. He could usually be count- ed upon to successfully stop the fastest man on the opposing team. He is a junior and this was his second year on the varsity. M. C. K. VIRGIL GERBER Virgil was a junior who had a lot of determination. He has shown much improvement throughout the year. He usually played a guard position and has spent one year as a varsity reserve.-M. C. K. KENNETH FUNK Kenny played in a reserve role behind our big boys. His chances of playing were limited but he came through frequently when ,he was needed. He either played cen- ter or forwardt He played on the varsity one year and is a senior. M. C. K.
